- Is there a Meet and Train group that meets regularly to help prepare for the mini marathon? Yes. Catering for all levels there are groups meeting at Shelbourne Park (Ennis Road) on Mondays at 6 pm. Contact Edel @ 087 6897735 LIT carpark Wednesdays at 6pm. Contact Edel @ 087-6897735 Raheen (opposite dry cleaners in Ind estate)at 6pm Fridays. Dooneen AC Fit 4 Life Bilboa 6pm Fridays.
- How can I register a group for the race on the 16th October. If paying by cheque who do I make it out to? Also if I register people that don’t actually show up on the day can I get a refund? The preferred method of registration is online through our website www.limerickminimarathon.com. Groups of up to 10 can be registered online. However you may also pay by cheque made out to Limerick Athletic Club. You can download the entry form from the website and complete one for each participant. Completed forms and cheque can be posted to Limerick Womens' Mini Marathon C/O Limerick City Sports Partnership, Unit 9, Steamboat Quay, Dock Road, Limerick Unfortunately no refunds will be made if people fail to show.
- Can school groups enter and use this event to raise funds for school projects? Yes we welcome school groups and many such groups have generated much needed funds through the Limerick Women’s Mini Marathon in recent years.
- Is the mini marathon exclusively for women or can men enter also? While this is a women’s only event we also welcome men who are brave enough to come along and run or walk in drag in order to raise funds for their chosen charity. Please note however that prizes are for women only
- Can you register on the day to enter the race or does it have to be online prior to the day? Yes you can enter on the day but the entry fee is raised to €20 rather than €15 at present. Also late entries cannot be guaranteed a race tee-shirt as we have to confirm numbers well in advance of race day. So the advice is to enter online asap.
- Race start time? 2pm start time on Sunday 16th October
- What time can people begin assembling in the start area? 12 noon at Arena
- Can I bring my dog on the run with me? Yes as well as the baby in the buggy – these people will be required to stay behind the runners / walkers.
- Can I wear an ipod / walkman / mp3 player? For participants’ own safety we would advise against using these devices.
- Where do I get my race number? To be confirmed – arrangements will be posted on this website.
- What do I need to produce to collect my race number (e.g receipt from your online registration) ? Valid ID will be required.
- Can I give my number to somebody else if I am unable to participate after registering? No.
- Are there any special parking restrictions in place? Early arrival will help.
- Is course marked in miles / kilometers? Kilometers
- What is given out along the route and where along the route? Water at approx 4.5k
- What is given out at finish e.g water, sports drinks, t-shirts? Water, T shirts.
- Is there a different start place for runners and walkers, or does everyone start together? All start together, runners at the front, walkers behind.
- When does online registration close? To be confirmed – will be posted on this website.
- Are there prizes and what are they? Yes, prize money for 1st ten finishers as well as category prizes and spot prizes.
- Where and when will the prizes be presented? 1st ten finishers approx 1 hour after finish at front of Arena bar.
- Are timing chips used? Yes
- When will results be available? Results will be available online after 10pm on race day

- Where are the toilets at the start / along the course / finish? Start / finish area
